I have returned to Etsy and re-opened a shop there with all NEW work! Please have a look at my Notecards reproduced from my original paintings. I have a selection from my Mandala series as well as my "Miniature" series.
Also, currently, I am translating my paintings into jewelry. All pieces are made with sterling silver bezels and filled with resin. The images are from my ORIGINAL artwork.
I hope you will have a look and share ;.)

Creating Art With 5 Senses
Learning to be present in the art process
A one day workshop in the mountains of Virignia
How do artists create? Is it natural ability? Is it learned technique? Is it something hazy and nebulous called “talent”? Art-making, in part requires noticing, seeing, recording, hearing, touching and paying attention. In other words, artists use or learn to use all of their senses. A good deal of art “making” is done before any tool is put to paper.
Rather than creating through any kind of logic, learned response or technique, this class will explore ways to tap into each sense in order to “see” things in a new way without preconception and learn how to translate what is sensed into a visual artwork. If you have ever felt the desire to create something, but did not know where to begin, let this class open up a space where you can discover a way to sprout that creative seed using what nature has already given you. This is a class offered to all levels of experience and a variety of media will be used.
Please join me at Serenity Ridge, a Buddhist retreat center located near Charlottesville. This peaceful oasis on 20 acres will provide the perfect backdrop for getting in touch with your creative seed. You can view pictures and gain more info on the retreat center here: www.ligmincha.org
